Welcome

I'm a photographer from Stellenbosch just outside Cape Town. I specialise in action sports, but enjoy shooting anything & love the challenge of shooting new subjects & styles. I'm a strobist (off camera flash) addict & always have at least 3 flashes with me. I enjoy the options it opens up & allows me to shoot in otherwise tricky lighting situations. Fine tuning flash position & being that much more in control of the mood I'd like to create is what attracts me to this way of shooting, but I'm no stranger to natural light & sometimes it can just not be beat.

I've decided to move my blog from the old afreakin blogspot to here. I was scouting around trying to find a good spot for my BMX shots & am enjoying this so much more.

I'll still be doing posts on my shoots (look below), but the odd shot that wasn't making it to my old blog will be added to the galleries. Most of my action/BMX shots will go to BMeggs, so I'll be focusing mainly on portraits, macro & landscapes here. I've also been shooting a few Weddings & am opening up to that side of things.
