Sunday the 20th I met up with JP & Pauline for an engagement/pre wedding shoot at Contermanskloof. I woke up to mist & rain, not something we expect here in summer & apprehensively drove through hoping we would have a little gap.
It wasn't raining on the farm & we made our way to the top of the DH tracks just to be completely surrounded by mist. My visions of having a nice view were disappearing fast & besides being a bit cold & windy (JP & Pauline deserve a medal for posing in the cold) the mist was so thick we could only see 30m or so around us. JP's other love is his mountain bike & is the reason we chose Contermans & had to get a few shots with him riding.
We moved down to one of the old farm storage rooms to get out of the cold & was great to be able to relax a bit more & not worry about things flying in the wind. They are such an easy couple to work with I hardly gave any direction on most of the shots, they just got lost together while I was snapping.
Thanks to JP & Pauline for an amazing shoot in rather challenging conditions & thanks to Robert from Contermanskloof for letting us use their farm. I'm looking forward to the big day & wish them all the best for the final organisation & preparation!
